Caitlin’s Gallery
An Angel named Caitlin draws what she sees:
Crickets and butterflies and a hive full of bees;
Lilies and rushes growing in a pond;
A toad and a dragonfly asleep on a frond;
Rain clouds and rainbows, fountains and wells;
Dolphins and seagulls, sea urchins and shells;
Poppies and daisies growing in a field;
Hand-painted cards in envelopes sealed;
Doves in a birdbath, balloons floating free;
A nest with blue eggs in a mulberry tree;
A hedgehog, a duck, a mouse soft and grey;
And a park where the children gather and play.
Then the Angel called Caitlin colours her art;
She draws what she sees but paints from her heart:
Orange and purple, a cup and a kettle;
A bunch of white roses, dew on a petal;
Summer and winter, autumn and spring –
An Angel called Caitlin can draw anything;
So, everyone wants a piece of her art,
Painted with light and the love from her heart.
